It is Social Detox’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our app. This Privacy Policy applies to the Social Detox app (hereinafter, “us”, “we”, “Social Detox” or “app”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting personally identifiable information you may provide us through the app. We have adopted this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) to explain what information may be collected in our app, how we use this information, and under what circumstances we may disclose the information to third parties. Standard gathered data
Like most app developers, Social Detox collects non-personally-identifying information. Social Detox’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Social Detox’s users use its app. From time to time, Social Detox may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its app.
When using Social Detox, the user is required to create an account. The following data is collected:
- Email address
- Password
- Activation code
Extra gathered data
When you download the app, you will be asked if you want to help improve Social Detox.
You can decide whether to allow this or not. There are two topics:
- Social Detox usage (time, focus apps)
- Other app usage (app name, time)
The following extra data is collected and stored in our database for these topics:
- Social Detox usage (time, focus apps)
- Time when Social Detox is launched
- Which apps are installed on your phone
- Which apps you select as “Focus apps”
- Other app usage (app name, time)
- The daily usage statistics for each app
- Amount of time you use each app daily
- App status: Focus app or Normal app
How we use the gathered data
The data collected will be used to:
- Improve the Social Detox app and other Social Detox services (e.g. giving recommendations for certain apps);
- Contact you with information about the app (e.g. updates and new offerings);
- Personalize the app and the content we deliver to you;
- Conduct research and analytics about how you use and interact with the app, to analyze how well Social Detox works;
- Show how using Social Detox changes your smartphone usage behavior in marketing campaigns.
Note that Social Detox will not sell this data to anyone, or use this data for targeted, personalized marketing.
Social Detox may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Social Detox will never disclose your personally-identifying information (name, email address, password) along with this data.
Security
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Although most changes are likely to be minor, Social Detox may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and at Social Detox’s sole discretion. Social Detox encourages users to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this app after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)
Under the CCPA, among other rights, California consumers have the right to:
